Business Bank Account in Bulgaria
Opening a business bank account is the step where most founders lose time. We help you choose a suitable bank and coordinate the process. Banks decide independently, but we make sure your paperwork is not what slows things down.
Registering a company in Bulgaria follows clear rules. Opening the bank account does not. Every bank has its own checks, its own list of documents and its own view of which clients it wants. For a new company with a foreign owner, the bank has almost no information, so it asks many questions. When the answers come slowly or in small pieces, a process that could take a week becomes a month. Our job is to prepare everything properly from the start, so the bank gets a clear and complete picture of you and your business.

Why preparation matters
A bank wants to understand four things: who owns the company, what it does, where the money comes from, and why it is in Bulgaria. If your application answers these questions clearly, most of the work is done.
From our experience, the most common problem is not a difficult business, it’s a weak description. “Consulting services” in one line tells the bank nothing. Two or three clear paragraphs about what you do, who your clients are and where they are, together with contracts, invoices or a website, make a big difference. We explain more in our article about opening a business bank account in Bulgaria.
What we need from you
Passports of all owners and managers
A description of your business
Proof that the business is real, for example contracts, invoices, offers or a website
Information about where the capital and first money come from
Your expected clients, suppliers and the countries you work with
If a foreign company is one of the owners, also its documents and a simple ownership chart
How long it takes
For a company with a clear business and complete documents, the account is often opened in one to two weeks. When the bank needs more information, it can take a month or more. Many banks also want to meet the manager in person at least once, so we plan this early.
What we can’t promise
We want to be clear about this. The decision to open an account is always the bank’s own, and no one can guarantee it. Be careful with anyone who says otherwise. What we can promise is that your application will be complete, clear and well prepared, so it has the best chance and doesn’t get stuck because of missing documents.
Already registered, or refused before?
You don’t need to register your company with us to use this service. If you already have a Bulgarian company and are still without a bank account, or a bank has already said no, write us. We look at what went wrong and how to prepare the next application better.
Who is this for
This service is for foreign owners of Bulgarian companies, especially when the owner lives abroad, the ownership goes through another company, or the business works with clients in many countries. These are the cases where good preparation matters most.
