Tax Consulting in Bulgaria
Bulgarian tax questions answered by experienced independent tax advisers. We help you put the question right, connect you with the right adviser, and turn the answer into clear next steps for your company and for you personally.
The 10% tax is the reason many founders look at Bulgaria. But the real tax picture is rarely just one number. How you take money out of the company, where you live, where the company is managed from, who your clients are, and what your home country says about all of this can make a big difference. Some of these questions need more than general information. They need advice from a tax professional who looks at your exact situation. This is what this service is for.
How this service works
We are not a tax advisory firm, and we say this openly. The advice itself comes from independent Bulgarian tax advisers we work with and trust, who are experienced with foreign founders and cross-border situations. Our role is to make the process simple and useful for you.
We help you understand what exactly needs to be answered, find the right adviser for your question, make sure they have all the information they need, and after the advice, help you put it into practice in your company. The adviser is responsible for the advice they give.
Typical questions we help with
Salary, dividend or a combination: what is the best way to take money out of your company
Moving to Bulgaria and becoming tax resident here, and what this means for your old country
Owning a Bulgarian company while living in another country, and where the company pays tax
Double tax treaties between Bulgaria and your country, and how to avoid paying tax twice
Dividends paid to a foreign company that owns your Bulgarian company
Payments from your Bulgarian company to people or companies abroad, and when tax is held back
Transactions between related companies, and how to price them correctly
VAT in more complex situations, for example cross-border services or e-commerce
Changing the structure of your business, bringing in partners, or selling a share
Your personal tax return in Bulgaria
If your question is not on this list, ask anyway. If it’s outside Bulgarian tax, we will tell you, and where possible we point you in the right direction.
How it works
You tell us your situation and your question in a short call or email.
We prepare a clear summary and agree with you which adviser fits best.
You get the scope and the cost of the advice in advance, before anything starts.
The adviser looks at your case and gives the advice, in writing or in a call. We can join the call if you want.
We help you put the advice into practice, for example in the company documents, the accounting or the payroll.
Why not just read the rules online?
For simple questions, our blog and general information are often enough. But tax rules depend on details, and most expensive mistakes happen in the details. One example we see often: a founder registers a Bulgarian company for the 10% tax but keeps living and running the business from another country. Depending on that country, the company may be treated as taxable there too. A short consultation before you start costs much less than fixing this later.
About your home country
Bulgarian advisers can explain the Bulgarian side and how the tax treaties work. The rules of your home country are something you should also check with a tax adviser there, especially if you keep living there or are just moving away. We are happy to work together with your own adviser, so both sides fit.
Who is this for
This service is for founders and owners of Bulgarian companies, people moving to Bulgaria, and investors who want clear answers before they make a decision. It is especially useful before you register a company, before you move, and before any big change in your business.
